I believe you heard very VERY wrong, because there is a megaman X collection coming out for the PS2 and GC in the near future. No way Microsoft is stealing megaman from me.

this is not a fake made up site. i found it on a site that had an interview of the staff. its the super smash bros 3 fan site. it says coming out jun 2006 but i think thats japan.
so probably December-January 2006-2007 for us?

edit: and you CAN pick captan olimar. k thx. and tom nook. according to the fan site of over-obsessed people that probably hack into staffs sites.
double edit: it is rumored they will have 50-60 chars *slobbers*

@_@ Just looking at that site was better than getting laid.
It's online!! HOMG, I can't wait to get this game!! It seems to be coming out for the revolution. Gonna be the first game I get! Oh man, now I'm so psyched! And yes, Jun 2006 probably means we're gonna get it in early december in the US. I feel bad for the UK folk who are gonna get it like, a year later, though.

when the jp version comes out, immedietly when the american revo comes out im importing the game o_o; then im gonna wait for the us one.
And theres a boshi? seems to look like yoshi, but wth is that o.o;
im sure this site is fairly accurate too. because on the update page it clearly took a couple months to find the info it wasnt just slopped together by rumors.
edit: this for me is like the mother of all fighting games @.@, this is going to be like my dream game! i didnt even expect them to add much at all i just digged the online o.O
