Then there are also alot of evil creatures in relation to water as well. I guess that's because so many people couldn't swim. So they blamed people's deaths on sea monsters I guess.

Oh yeah... But fire also gives off heat, which can also make the difference between life and death. It seems that elementals in general have a bad rap in mytology.

Well, I love sea monsters. I want to have a kraken of my own, but with a few special features. At the ends of its tentacles, it would have like fingers on the ends, and they would have a mouth and a nervous system. So, when it gets cut off (the arms), say hello to a new monster!

Dimetre(sp?) the greek goddes of earth, can make the ground very fertile and perfect for farming.

Those are Deities, not Elementals. Slight difference.
Elementals are creatures that represent the forces of nature: Titanium, for instance. (=p)
Elementals are Neutral, not Good or Evil.
