Has anyone noticed that one of the characters in Brother Bear sounds quite a lot like heiei? How do you spell his name, theres a million people on pso whos names are that and its spelled right and I can't even remember one!

hiei's name spelling can be a little tricky. i went around in circles with it until i realized the sounds for the 'e' in english and the 'i' in japanese where the same. so the syllable 'hi' would be said 'he'. the 'ei' is 'ay'. when you put those together you ge 'he-ay' or 'hiei'.

Yeah, some of the Jap sp is wierd, but you'll get used to it. It took me forever to get some of the names right.

when i was writing this one fanfic, before i knew any japanese, i named this one girl 'kitsune' thinking it was said 'kitsun'. i was so embarassed when my friend, who knows the language, told me i was saying it wrong.
