Nintendo Revolution - Faulkie - 23-05-2005 I agreed with ya, I just like Nintendo more. It's just my taste. Don't get me wrong, I like PlayStation too, but... I dunno. When you've owned every Nintendo console (almost! ) you start to get like that... ![]() And I dunno if the revolution will keep its name, remember the Nintendo Dolphin? But then again, the DS kept its codename...
Nintendo Revolution - Uae - 23-05-2005 Im worried about nintendos future, they dont seem to be making good decisions. The revolution is 3-4 times more powerful than the gamecube sounds good until you find out ps3 and xbox360 are 12 times more powerful than their predecessors. This means that nintendo will be at a big power disadvantage :O The console also looks more like a powerbook power pack than a multi media device that will look good under the tv. They got online play, multimedia and back wards compatibility this time. Lets hope that they have a stronge line up with more thna a few big releases each year and 3rd party support. With a constant supply of games for all audiances and good hardware nintendo could reclaim ground they have lost to microsoft and sony recently. If they have a weak line up of games for the whole of the revolutions life (giving up on the gamecube is p***ing me off now) and inferior hardware i think they will have no choice to face the same route as sega or go back to making cards
Nintendo Revolution - Lee-yoshi - 23-05-2005 The 3 - 4 times as powerful was just a rumour in the end, and Ninty said that it will actually be a lot more powerful then that. However, it wont be upto scratch as the other consoles because that way it forces developers to focus on the game rather then the graphics. Itll also be cheaper to produce and release games on the Revolution because of this, so hopefully itll mean it can influence a lot of other developers to hope on board the Revolution train. Nintendo have said they hope to encourage more small developers to work on Revolution titles for this reason among many. Nintendo Revolution - Faulkie - 24-05-2005 Surely it's better for Nintendo to just accept any game, because that way they make more cash and more games are made, right? But whatever, if the Revolution is less powerful, does that mean it'll be cheaper? Oh yeah, another unrelated thing about prices - apparently a PSP costs the same as the Xbox 360 will when it comes out. Crazy eh? Nintendo Revolution - Lee-yoshi - 24-05-2005 Lol! I dont believe that for a second. Of course the Revolution will be cheaper, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 will most likely be stupidly expensive because of everything they have inside them to make them stupidly powerful. The PSP would probs be about maybe the same price as a Revolution though i'd say, with PS3 = £200 - £250 and Xbox 360 = £200 - £300. Thats my estimate. Nintendo Revolution - Faulkie - 24-05-2005 Yeah whatever, my sourves aren't 100% accurate...
Nintendo Revolution - God-IX - 24-05-2005 Hmm..Lee is probably very close, but what I have heard on the Xbox360, all of the stuff in it, seems stupid...Wireless controllers, and ALL KINDS of numerous stuff in it, I think it will be Lee's price, if not more...The PS3 probably be just about the same price.
Nintendo Revolution - spectre13 - 24-05-2005 i believe the ps3 has wireless controllers also. Nintendo Revolution - God-IX - 24-05-2005 Wow, great, as long as they aren't Madcatz, or some crap that breaks easy, I think this may be interesting.
Nintendo Revolution - Daan - 24-05-2005 how many players can play on the revolution? 4 or 6 or 8? |
