You can't register new accounts now. You can only reactivate an old one (it wouldn't let me reactivate mine either... I could only get to ST via proxy, at which point I found it as vacant as when I'd last seen it).
The only solution is to visit the "naughty" server, which one's not allowed to post the connection info of, in here. <_>

Hopefully i'll be able to let you all know all about getting back on PSO Gamecube when my internet's working again! Hopefully thats soon but recent trends have shown exactly the opposite

Lee it would be more like news if you told us when your internet WAS working, not when it wasn't
Yeah seriously guys, don't connect to ST servers. Or at least if you do, create a dud to take the corruption, to test which areas are safe to log into.
Edit: And that's a dud PSO data file on a separate mem-card to your main characters
