It won't work forever. The human body has an internal expiry date.

When in fact, it technically shouldn't, the human body is meant to continuously regenerate itself, which is why you can donate half a kidney/liver, can't remember which it was that they showed, it will regenerate the rest, as will the half in the person you donated it to, but as we get older, that weakens, and there's no true evidence of why. There's the free radical theory, but that is, as the name states, a theory.

The liver is pretty unique in its ability to fully regenerate itself. Kidneys cant regenerate.
