Yes. Every Ult enemy only has one rare drop (apart from Photon Drops and Add Slot (I never got Add Slot on Ult though)).
Red Handguns are good though, especially if you grind them and have decent percents. Do a few Fake in the Yellow runs, and you should find a decent Red Handgun.

Digara, you will need a gun, unless you can kill ob lilies in one hit, the red handgun is the best gun that a hunter can use, so ignore your ego and use the best gun that you can use.

my foie has much greater range plus i have a hell diska with a very nice hit bonus
so i have little use for guns, plus attacking at close range avoids getting hit with.........megid? or grants, can't match the name to spell

I have found tons of those and they have never dropped a Rare.
No offence Bert, but I personally prefer dying bravely in a fight with a moster at close range to shooting at it with a gun.

occasionally I do to....but it's not smart when you're in the caves within stiking distance of the ob lilies, or powerful enemies, close combat might be a little more fun, but the point is, guns can be more useful than a sword.

i dunno....
any gun i use misses 70% of the time, does similar damage as barefist and has less range than my foie, barta and zonde

Stupid megid, get killed by it so many times.

Megid=insta-death spell
Grants=Hella-ouchie spell
Neither of these spells can be canceled, but Megid can be avoided. Also, if you time a Resta right, you can heal the damage from Grants instantly. Megid, at close range, still hits you know...
