Online help! ;-;!! - Ria - 17-05-2004 I'm still having troubles. I've even tried setting up the connection to my laptop but still nothing, so there's obviously something wrong on the Gamecube end. This is frustrating as neither my neighbour or me have set up an online game before, not to mention I stupidly activated my 30 free days before I can get on. Down to 24 free days now, I'll let ya know if it works -.- Online help! ;-;!! - T_T1K - 18-05-2004 How are you trying to set it up? Online help! ;-;!! - Frost - 18-05-2004 ugh, aol.... ugh, dsl.... But its really not as hard as you think... Now, Im a bit confused by what you've explained, but thats ok because it sounds like your kinda confused yourself ....If you have 2 NICs (network interface card) in your computer, you would be running the internet connection from your modem to your computer with one, and the other one would allow you to share your internet connection with another computer, or in this case your GC. This method will however, require that your computer be on any time you want to use your GC online. Another method would involve purchasing a router or switch (you might as well get the router if its a toss up between the two). This method requires a bit more work, but basically you can follow the instructions you would get with the router to set it up with your internet connection... its not hard at all. Then once you've done that, all you have to do is plug in your ethernet cord from your router to your GC, and then you can be online with your GC and your computer doesnt need to be on. I can provide you help either way. I use a router with my GC and I haven't had a problem yet |
