I couldn't say it'd be right. And having a belt up your ass doesn't seem right to me at all. I find it each day more and more in the news that parents are getting more and more violent...beatings, and kids being stoned by their own parents. Anyone heard about that Texas mom who drowned her 4 kids...tsk tsk.

Hey just a question, Im having problems with my dad...I saw an episode of the simsons where barts dad gets immancipation (spelled right? lol) from his family. I know its the simpsons, but is that really possible?

Physical Discipline? - Starman - 13-06-2004

Yes getting emancipated is indeed possible in most US states.

Well, by the time it was over, I had a cut from my mom's ring, a shiner, and a busted lip. Then my stepdad dragged me into the bathroom cuz he didnt want to look at me lying on the floor cuz I couldn't literally couldn't move!

This is honestly wrong. This happens everywhere, and I cant stand it, theres nothing wrong with hitting you kid, but beating them, its jus wrong, they should be seperated immediatly. They miss their kid? Too bad. You abuse the kid you lose the kid.

(Perhaps I am being to harsh, but I stand by what I say.I'm done with this topic, I don't even know why I looked.)

Your not being harsh... but I'll never treat my children the way she treated me. I'd just as soon die.

Mistakes are made, it's up to our generation to learn from them...

"those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it..."

Hey Zeffie how come you said it was your friend at the start then you said it was you? Of course I knew it was you all along because you told me.

Physical Discipline? - Gotien - 13-06-2004

I couldn't follow any of that, could anyone else?:S

I say you become a layer bert! lol You abuse you lose! That sounds 'bout right.

So, like, you live your dad The one who dragged you into the bathroom? Dragging your kid I would say isn't very abusive, however I find it a bit harsh.

I just feel horrible for the kids out their getting abused. Those "parents" aren't very good figures at all. And after it's all over with, they've realised what they done and they try to suck up to you. Believe me, that's how my parents are. They'll give me a wacking or throw something at me, then 20 minutes later when I'm up in my room, of course they suck up so I forget about it and...you get the idea. Just saying, most parents are like this. (Including mine) And I can't stand it.

No, you got it all wrong. She lives with her dad and she was describing her mum and stepdad in the above text.
