Apparently the chances of finding a rare enemy are 1/512, that doesnt mean you are garunteed one in 512 enemys, its 1/512 for every enemy that has a rare counterpart.
Then there is a drop rate from that enemy,
eg.
an el rappy being a pal rappy = 1/512
the pal rappy dropping a rare = 1/2
so you have to find the enemy THEN you have to get the rare, but i dont think beat time effects the chance of rare counterpart appearing. Just the chance of it dropping a rare.

I think the 1/512 rate was just an estimate made by some people over at PSOW. The actual rate wasn't found due to it not being as obvious in the code as the item drop rates.

Croc, it has nothing to do with your beat-time.

lol yes it does look for a rare monster and when you find him also look what time it is now change the time on your gamecube(real life time) to the time that you found that monster, make shur that its the same beat time(when your play) and look again and it will be there (you may have to pipe a littel) iv done it many times. But if you want to pipe for 2 houres and see nothing be my guest. Tongue

I repeat, it has nothing to do with your beat time.

If you can show me proof for a beat time theory, then I will accept it, but as there is no way of proving something that does not exist, I am not too worried about being proved wrong...

Think what you want but im not going to wast my time because someone does not beleve me.Im just giving a hit to thos who dont want to wast time getting there rare weapon from a rare monster. No hard fealings tho. Wink

None at all. If you ever do come up with a reliable beat time for finding rare enemies, then feel free to share it with us... Tongue

I will later.

No you won't, cuz beat time does not affect rare monsters appearance rate.

and the drop rate for Lavis Cannon in Redria is 1/22.
