Just a random thing I noticed - Krato - 21-12-2004 derz plnty of need 4 it cuz i gotta tlk 2 bout 50 ppl on msn at the same time as ritin dis Just a random thing I noticed - cOoLdUdE - 21-12-2004 Do you also mean like abreviations, like lol, omg, omfg, wtf, ppl, ect. ? Just a random thing I noticed - Schoichet - 21-12-2004 i dont see what is wrong with lol as we all use it, and i dont capitalize i becouse my left shift key is weird, so when i touch type i hold it down but it doesnt usealy do anything. Just a random thing I noticed - cOoLdUdE - 21-12-2004 WTF, is very useful cause it will be annoying to type it out to every person i say it too, mostly n00bs Just a random thing I noticed - Schoichet - 21-12-2004 *cough*dontswareatyourself*cough* sorry, you just walked into that though i just noticed another thing i dont do, use 's Just a random thing I noticed - misterbud - 22-12-2004 Sorry, I was at Ivan's band practice...Thats why I didn't reply for a while. I was not talking about lol, rofl, roflmao, or wtf. I was however talking about cuz, u, r, wut, tot, and things such as that. Things that are not complete phrases, or actions, but things that are actual words, but ae just not being used because it takes a few less seconds to type two or so less letters. The language that g03s l!3k th!s, using symbols or numbers instead of letters, is known as l33t, or 1337. This is often used to imitate n00bs in a mocking way. Basicly, I agree with what decs said, it saves you less time than it takes us extra to read it. To kratos: Then find some other time to type it, you don't have to do it right that second. To whoever said the comment about somone talking like that in the games. That is acceptable to me, I can understand if you are being attacked by a monster and need to get a message off fast, but on a forum where you have plenty of time, there is no need for it. Personally I still use proper grammar and punctuation in games where I have a keyboard. I type at about 50 Words per minute, so typing speed is not a problem at all for me. Just a random thing I noticed - Peter - 22-12-2004 I say people can type however they want. Just a random thing I noticed - Schoichet - 22-12-2004 i used to do those(look at some of my older posts), but now i kind of get anoyed by them, i dont know why. when i spell something strangely or short its becouse im touch typeing and my fingers are going faster then my brain(not hard) Just a random thing I noticed - Gotien - 22-12-2004 ![]() I don't speak in slang; quite the contrary, I speak in very acute perfection from time to time! However, I do burst into muhk nih uid cahdahlac uv Al Bhed lryd dryd sekrd pa taclnepat yc cmekrdmo ehybbnubneyda lol and then there are my emotional pictures... I hope they don't bother you.**long run out sentences of Al Bhed chat that might be described as slightly inappropriate Just a random thing I noticed - Sesshomaru - 22-12-2004 I sometimes use ppl, wtf, lol......but other than that I just take my time thinking about what I`m posting and what good it`ll do. I don`t see the reason why some ppl just can`t type out the whole word......you have all the time in the world (well not exactly) to post something relevant to the topic....or irrelevant as it sometimes may be. It would make reading peoples`posts much easier and faster than if you have to decipher the whole thing as you go along. Is that pretty much what your asking Misterbud (insert question mark here) heh heh heh keyboards acting up |
