Yeah, HUcaseal is a droid so DFP on them is a waste. My HUney's single player mag has 25 Def on it. But I used that at lower lvs to take on Ultimate Caves. And that was before I found my Luminous Field, now I don't even bother with that mag. With Luminous Field and Deband I have somewhere around 853 DFP.
Back on topic, HUcaseals are much better in my opinion. I like their dagger animation, the speed of it is excellent. If I'm correct they have a different claw animation, but I haven't started raising mine, and my lil' brother hardly ever plays for me to know. But they have really high ATA, yes they need a lot of ATP on their mag, but their aesthetics make up for it. HUcasts are the power houses of the game. Get one to a high level, a few God/Arms and a good partisan or saber and they dish out the damage. But I prefer the HUcaseal.

HUcaseal is a lot wrose than HUcast.
She has only one stat that is significantly better than HUcast's: ATA
How can it be remedied ? weapons with hit%, S-Parts ver2.01.
Let's see the other stats...
HUcaseal has lower ATP. Can it be remedied ? No.
HUcaseal has lower DFP. Can it be remedied ? No.
HUcaseal has lower HP. Can it be remedied ? No.
EVP ? not too useful when meleeing, DFP is way more important.
HUcaseal also has a the worst trap growth, while HUcast has the best, it's not good vs bad, but best vs worst.
HUcaseal has different animations for Double Sabers and Daggers, but they are not better.
HUcaseal is either a very, very bad HUcast or a very, very bad RAcast. A screwed up class, really.

I said that's why they need strong mags.......and I prefer them aesthetically. And yes the trap growth on them blows.....loads. My brother at level 121 having 19 damage traps, and my lil' brothers HUcaseal having 9 or so at level 81ish....

Mags don't affect stats, they only boost them within the limits, making no difference.

I do realize where you're coming from though. My brothers HUcaseal is pretty bad...He didn't beat V-Hard mode till' lv.79 and that was with a stacked% Delsaber Shield/Buster combo.........and I don't know where he got it but to not be able to do it with 90% Dark is kinda' pathetic...

What's the general thought of RAcast vs. HUcast? I personally prefer the RAcast, but that's just because I like sitting back and shooting crap, and because the RAcast can just take LOADS of damage. What's the general consensus, though?

I think overall the GENERAL consensus is that the HUcast is better. But those are people with one-two characters max. I'd think more experienced players would choose the RAcast, given it's MUCH higher ATA, and really high ATP. Sure it's no HUcast. But when you can melee and range, with lots of damage. I don't really like how either looks so I don't play with them, therefore I can't say exactly what the general consensus is.

They don't use the same weapons AT ALL, it's hard to compare.
I'd say HUcast, because HUcast is the best hunter, while RAcast is not the best ranger.
