In all honesty Inferno Legions could be older than me, I have joined this clan many years ago when I first played Diablo online(It was called Inferno Empire then) and from that I have made the Inferno Legions on every Online RPG I played.
Shadow Council members are always welcome at the site, no need to change anything(short of giving them a part of the forum) They do have Elite ranks so they should fit fine if they want to join. I still have to consider Shades order though...

Woah, woah, woah, It was suggested we have an ALLIANCE, I never said ANYTHING about merging.......... :/
And I suggested that since almost none of our members are online...... :/
Seperate klans, but working together is what I was going for. That way no leadership is displaced, and the Supreme Council/whatever Shade's name for it was, would have to look at all viewpoints and have a debate......This goes without saying that it would beneficial, but a merging would be ridiculous, seeing as IL has 13 members........you'd be absorbed into the SC if a merge were to happen. A simple alliance is the best choice for all involved...
