Duping - Junon - 09-09-2003 Theres actually only one kind of online game where there is very little or no cheating... MMORPGS. One game where i've seen no cheating whatsoever on is Anarchy Online, also an MMORPG. The main aspect of this game, as with most RPG's is to pick a character, and level it up and get the best equipment for it. Being the huge game it is and the massive ammount of people who play it, quite a heavy part of the game is buying and selling equipment, if duping/cheating took place it would completely wreck the game, which has happened to PSO... its kinda hard to explain... but i feel PSO is still worth playing even though 80-90% are using dupes. What im trying to say is MMORPG's all run off really stable secure servers, cheating is practically impossible. So if you like online RPG's and hate cheating, MMORPG's are the way i guess! Duping - Steppenwolf - 09-09-2003 I'm against duping, as far as playing the game it only ruins the game for those who do it, but it does ruin the value of any trading. But I think that Sega wants this kind of activity to take place. You need a lot of participation to keep it running. It seems to me that having players run around and drop off occasional items to lower lvl players would help to build excitment. Also, I have a hard time believe that "the shop trick" was simply stumbled upon and wouldn't be surprised if it was leaked. Think about it, once the paticipation level drops low enough it's GAME OVER dude. The ships that I access here in the US about 4 mos. ago you'd find 3500 players on, now its about 350-400,wonder how low it has to go to collapse. How would you rebuild interest? Duping - Ivan - 09-09-2003 Quote:Originally posted by Proj3ct_Zer0 Its a fucked up game to correct you. honestly i have nothing against anyone here, imm simply sayionng why do you stick to sega's side? Peopple have seen what happend to DC am i right? Dont yo think thta would have given sega a wake up call? They just thought it would all go away? LOOK NOW SEGA! IS THIS WHAT PSO III IS GONNA BE LIKE?! YOU LAZY BASTARDS I ONCE WORKED FOR YOU ASS HOLES! AND YOU STILL WOUNDER WHY I LEFT YOU ALL HUH?! TAKE A LOOK NOW! THESE PEOPLE ARE SUPPORTING YOU CUS THEY WANNA GIVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE! WHY?! BECAUSE THEY FEEL SORRY FOR YOU DAMN ASSES! I SUPPOSE NEXT THEIR GONNA POLISH YOU SHOES! AS IF YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS GONNA ALL GO AWAY? Because look IT HASNT! i have seen sega say nothing on this! i have gone to hundreds and thousands of forums and i see nothing! not even in the forum section of sega.com! SO AM I STILL GOING TO BE TOLD THEY ARE DOING SUMTHING ABOUT IT? WHY DONT YOU LOOK?! YOU WILL FIND [SIZE=4] NOTHING[SIZE=1] I can just not beleive you all illl say it again ive worked with sega (not making the game but discussed what we thought about it) and i asked them if they saw DC, they said they will do their best and not release a single copy until all bugs are found, AND I DONT SEE THAT HAS HAPPENED!      Duping - Aaron_Blitzmage - 09-09-2003 You need to calm down. Pull your head out of your ass and read my post again. As I said If you want to complain so much lets see you make an game that is like no other and try and make one with no bugs at all. Before any other console do it. And anyway just because there is a glitch there it doesn't mean you have to go around and spread it wide open to other people and then blame in on the sonic team. Duping - Steppenwolf - 09-09-2003 Ivan you need to chill out! Despite the flaws I enjoy(ed) the game and feel it was worth my money. But even if you didn't, was this the first time a game let you down? Try not to go "postal" on sega. Duping - Proj3ct_Zer0 - 09-09-2003 Not taking sides, but Aaron does have a point. Its hard to figure out all these bugs in a game. Soon as you think theres none left, some more will pop up. And I cant see how you can blame it on Sonic Team. Its not there fault at all! Theve tried there best to combat the bugs and everything, and these stupid ass hackers come and fuck it up! And Im not supporting Sonic Team, I just forwarding my views on it. If you think its fucked up then why carry on playing it. One more thing I'd like to say, I seriously doubt that you worked for Sega. How old are you? 13 years old? And working for Sega!? Sorry but I cant believe you for one second there. If you have some proof maybe you would like to share it with all of us so we could believe you. Duping - Aaron_Blitzmage - 09-09-2003 I bet they just gave him a servey or what he would like in it paper. ![]() So now he thinks he helped to make it. I really don't think you live in japan mate. Nice try though.
Duping - Steppenwolf - 09-09-2003 It is possible he was part of the Beta run, i understand that those people were given some things that the rest will never get. Hard to believe he'd be upset if that was true. Duping - Proj3ct_Zer0 - 09-09-2003 Ivan doesnt live in Japan anyway, he lives in the US. May have been a beta tester, but they only usually do it in Japan (eg. Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D Revolution) Duping - Thesord - 09-09-2003 But there are cheaters that use homemade software. Take InFaMoUs Nugz and Myria(I think its the name). And BTW some cheating/bugs arent Segas total fault!(I'm not on their sides, but hell if u made a game would u walk around trying t get an NPC to follow u to make a glitch?U wouldnt even know u coud do it,itss way hard, and BTW SEGA IS LAZY(they shouldve corrected the shop glitch by now) ! |
