I only hack for fun, when I'm bored of regular PSO. I've got a card just for hacking where all the crazy stuff happens Tongue All my genuine, serious characters are legit, though, and no I don't trade hacked items off that card. Making the game easier for yourself is stupid; it shortens the game's lifespan.

yeah it would do because already having all the stuff would mean you dont look for them yourself.. it takes all the fun away from the game.... thats 1 reason why i dont hack.... second reason is that i wouldnt be able to even if i wanted to XD coz i dont know how XP

Remember Tangwistel, there is a difference between using an AR and actually hacking. Action Replay codes merely edit the hex memory of the game where as true hacking involves packet editing and manipulating those packets to do what you want them to.

Why? I was just stating a fact. People who say AR is hacking are wrong.

this leads nowhere as long as people fail to actually read and just want to write something.

Just lock this topic. It's pointless and there was one like it a while ago

Yes, all right, I'm a mere script kiddie when it comes to Cube Tongue But I was using "hacking" as many people seem to do with reference to PSO: altering the game data by nefarious means = hacking.

If it makes you happier, I'll edit my original post to read "I only AR for fun" instead.

I still say it's not automatically evil though. I remember when I was playing pokemon on the game boy, creating AR codes for that kept me playing long after I'd done everything possible normally. I managed to turn a pikachu into an ice/water type. Then my save file corrupted, but hey, it's all good Tongue AR can occasionally give an old game a new lease of life, or just provide a breath of fresh air when you're bored of doing the same things over and over. Hacking as Legato describes it is a different matter, because as far as I can see the only reason to do packet editing etc is to cause trouble for other people.
