World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - God-IX - 29-07-2005 In my opinion, I prefer large games...they last longer, not only can you play the game and it takes amazingly long, but you are having fun the whole way, and once you beat it, it also has replayability points, such as PSO, has the whole replayability, and it is pretty large, and you could have fun for amazing amount of hours..but WoW has better graphics, more weapons, larger maps, etc...
It is an overall bigger game, and it depends on what you prefer to like...smaller or bigger games, I just prefer my games to last me a long time, until the next 'great' game comes out. World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - Lee-yoshi - 29-07-2005 Well my mate has got a kind of super computer at his house, and his lag is almost as bad as mine, and mines nowhere near as great as his (Mines more an entertainment center thingy! lol). However saying this, he has been addicted to the game since he got his PC and bought WoW not long after, playing pratically 24/7, except for when hes at work, and then just talks about it to everyone (*sigh*)!! ![]() Actually, mine is 512Mb, huh! Well, hmm :S Oh well... Still, once you've finished WoW (And by finished, i mean get to level 60 - Which is the top level atm), how much replayability is there then? Most people i knew who got to that level, ive never seen online again! Where as PSO, even with the limited amount of levels, people are still playing the same thing over and over again, because maybe its just a much better multiplayer experience...? World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - God-IX - 29-07-2005 I don't know exactly how it is played...if you can make different characters, then the replayability is that you can replay the game with different skills, etc. And if you have rare items on WoW then you spend a lot of time looking for certain items and such for that.
World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - Lee-yoshi - 29-07-2005 Yes, but its such a big storyline, if you were to start again with a new character (Of which you can have upto about 8 per server, not sure about that though), would you really want to spend ALL that time again just to do something you've already done once over and hence knowing the story? With PSO, its only very small stories and so its much more tempting just to replay the story again. Besides, WoW imo seemed to be much more of a 1-player game then a multiplayer game, even though you can see millions of other playing, as all the quests are really setup for one person to complete. Also when someones on the same quest as you and its to kill someone, it's really quite annoying when theyve just been killed by someone whos just completed the quest ahead of you! lol World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - God-IX - 29-07-2005 Oh, I see what you mean...
I was merely debating on what information I do know...I replay many games even through the storyline again such as Guild Wars, the storyline doesn't interest me too much once you already knwo it, it is playing with other people, and collecting the best stuff. World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - WaspofGreenill - 30-07-2005 i would rather play PSO because world of warcraft doesnt really put me to the level of fun as PSO World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - Ashinator - 30-07-2005 Well in answer to ur question bout what happens wen u reach 60 is simple. U go around PKing every Horde/Alliance that get in your way or go and do some CTF on Battlegrounds (Alterac Valley or Warsong Gulch) and get that honour rank up and up. Im only a private at the mo But the armour set u can get for druids are soooooooo cool![]() ![]()
World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - God-IX - 30-07-2005 There is more than just runnign around and killing sh*t...I learn things every day....
World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - Hiachi - 30-07-2005 When reviewing all these points and compairing them between PSO and WoW, let's not forget that Phantasy Star Online is not meant to be, nor contend with, a Massively Multiplayer Online RPGs, and therefore, for such aspects like the size of the world, or amount of abilities; compairing these aspects as obscure as compairing the speed of a computer to the speed of a car, just because it sounds the same doesn't mean they can truly be compaired. World of Warcraft Vs. Phantasy Star Online - It's the Hunters Gazette! - A.S. - 01-08-2005 Dave Chappelle plays WoW, he does not play PSO. Case settled- WoW |
