the red slime on dc is 1/1000 (rarer then on gc)
use rabarta to split (it's what i do)
if you want them to atack each other then use a confusing weapon.
in a quest ther is a room with 2 slimes, split to have 8 slimes.

hmm. a few days ago, while my fiance and i were playing, she came across a red pofuilly slime. i get the notion that we were pretty lucky to see that?
it didn't drop anything cool that i remember.
neither of us have ever even bothered to pipe, but i'd imagine one of the slimes alongside it had died somewhere along the lines. i guess that's likely the reason why we didn't get anything.

Slimes and Hildes are by far the most annoying things to pipe. There are too few Hildes and Slimes have the whole "becoming broken" issue as well as the requirement of splitting them.
Rare enemies are a real pain to deal with... and since there's no piping I can imagine it must be even worse on Blue Burst. Even with the higher chance of seeing them... it's still a low percentage.

You just got unlucky with the 87.5%, 1/2, or 1/22 droprate. (only Redria has the 1/22 for the Lavis Cannon)

i don't like to pipe
it takes a long time and you don't know if you are getting something good at all.
i just play the normal way and sometimes they apear.
this is my opinion.
