I always put my beverage on a diffrent table to the one my laptop is on... so as to avoid such accidents. Also, its not my laptop...

i put drink in a bottle and do up the lid if its near my comp. unlucky though.

I'll eat and drink stuff at my computer all the time, but I keep them on the other side of the desk. You, see, the desk is kind of long, and the computer is on the left side of it, and there's some empty space on the right, so that's where I put my food, so if anything falls over I can pick it up really quick.

my bro's laptop's screen broke onece, he cam eto get it (bording college) from his dorm or soemthing (I foget) and he turnsit on, and the image is completly screwed, it's wrong colours cracked, and doesn;t rreally work... no prob for me, OMG i spilt somethin on my keyboard, omg, we have a spare in the attic, and my computer's so crap it wouldn't matter that much if I lost it, I'm getting new one foe XMAS!!!!!!!! (alleluia!!!!!!!!)
