I wouldn't say cheating. After all, it's a bit of a gamble. You could end up jumping around and kicking the air or something.

I use Rpahael in SC2 and people say i cheese with his forwrd and Y attack... (on GC)
Button bashing works and on games like Tekken 2 it was the only way to beat people like Kazuya...
It may be annoying but remember... at the first sign of an opening, button bash them back... (or on SC2 just do kick rallies to thier face)

I despise button bashing - I play by skill and I admit to favouring powerful strategies, but that's what they're for right?
For example, in Soul Calibur II, with Nightmare I am nigh unkillable - I often shoulder the sword, lunge, knock my opponent to the ground and then pummel the ground. They die within a few seconds unless they dodge my first attack, when I then change tack.
I use this strategy to weed out weak players and stupid AIs.
