This is probably one argument that can't properly be settled.
I don't think Ragol is Earth at all, there's no real evidence to support this other than pointing out a few similarities. And any planet capable of supporting human life would be likely similar to Earth anyway. If we assume that Coral is similar to Ragol in terms of supporting life, then you could just say Coral is Earth.

The picture of Ragol looks very similar to Earth, but it's obviously different. It's hard to explain, I just know it is not Earth.

ragol isnt earth, but there isnt enough evidence to prove either way- if ragol was in the future, earth couldve got more moons and evolved crazy monsters, but the fact that pioneer project was migrating from earth because of some reason or other (well, their home planet so probably earth) seems to prove that it isnt earth.

Moons happen when the planet is still forming.

the moon (ours) is an asteroid caught by the earths gravity. if another 2 asteroids do the same, we get ourselves 3 moons (providing our current one doesnt die in the meantime)

Actually, that theory was discredited some time ago, seeing as how the Earth and Luna are made of the same basic materials. The new theory goes something like this:
When the Earth was still molten, a huge asteroid crashed into it, dislodging a fair amount of molten material. This then formed into the moon.
Or at least, that's it in a nutshell.
