Cuts off - Mini_Bert - 11-07-2006 Unplug that controller and try it. Cuts off - Cye Zero - 11-07-2006 Well so far so good your solution works Bert, how did you know that it was the non-nintendo controller that did it? Will the problem persist if I use that controller again? Cuts off - Mini_Bert - 11-07-2006 Because I had the exact same problem about a year and a half ago xD Power light shut off, picture was gone, system was still going though. I figured it out, and then all was well. To my knowledge, yes, if you plug that controller back in, you will have the same problem. I tried that with my non-nintendo controller 2 months ago, still happened << So you're down a controller, but the good news is your GC isn't actually bugged ^^ Cuts off - Cye Zero - 11-07-2006 Thank you very much oh man I never would have figured it out your a lifesaver
Cuts off - Mini_Bert - 11-07-2006 lol, np. Glad I could help. Glad I'm not the only one this happened to xD The lesson here folks? Non-nintendo equipment may seem cool at first, but it will come back to bite you one day >> Cuts off - whiteninja - 11-07-2006 Mini_Bert Wrote:The lesson here folks? That is just weird... :S Cuts off - Phantom_RAcast - 11-07-2006 whiteninja Wrote:Third party memory cards. D: Corruption.Nintendo sabotage? >_>
Cuts off - jarl - 11-07-2006 i dunno, but i actually had the same problem as well, after i yanked my controller hard accidentally- with the controller in and without me pushing it in, the GC just shut off. if i started up the GC without it in, then put in the controller, it shut off. weirdness :$ Cuts off - Cye Zero - 12-07-2006 Maybe third-party assesories uses a little bit more power than first-party assesories. At first the assesories wouldn't effect the system but, constant use of the third-party assesories may take it's toll on the system causing a malfunction. |
