Guys, you don't NEED a World Pass, just makes it a lot easier.
Getting On The Server You Want
When you get to the create character screen, select your character. You then go to a handle screen. Don't proceed but go back to see what world your character is in. If its not what you want, just keep reselecting your character (it remembers the characteristics you previously chose by default) and going to and from the handle screen until you see on the left side of your character screen your name, type and most importantly the world you want. Can take 20 minutes or so although when I did it.
One of your friends may have a world pass, in which case you can type this in on the character selection screen. (you buy them from Bastok I think - one of the cities in the game).
There are no less than 30 different servers you may be assignied to so the above trick may take some time before you get where you want.

I have played ff1-11 and tactics i love the series! Sum of the best gaming moments ever. I liked 9 the best and am looking fwd to 12.
The only 1 that i havent completed is ff11 a)mmo so no end b) to get a full lvl chracter wud mean not leaving my pc for a few months :O
