If you can see where the gun is aimed, it's surprisingly easy to block a bullet, it's when you have half a second to react and block that it gets scary. But if you're charging the guy with the gun and you block a shot, he will get scared shitless, in a fight, dropping your guard that much (even if only for an instant) is the cause of your loss, so by scaring the gun wielder, you win. I hate guns by the way, I wish they had never been invented. They enable weaklings and people who have no skill in fighting to kill people, and generally they are used in an honorless fashion.
