Plus, if that was the design, you'd constantly need to be right next to the PC as it plugs straight in without a wire or anything. Tongue

You wouldnt have to be RIGHT near the pc. just a few feet close.

P.S. I finnally got a a ds anfter many months of waiting!

Nintendo DS - Faulkie - 02-08-2005

No I mean look at the pic, it would plug straight into the PC.

And congrats!

Nintendo DS - Lee-yoshi - 03-08-2005

Yes, congrats on your DS purchase, and no, the point i meant was that it was made in that design so you knew it was a DS accessory Tongue

Also, you'd just need to be however far the DS wi-fi system works from-to (I cant remember exactly how far now). You dont even need to be in the same room, i mean hell, if you lived in the middle of town, loads of passers by could probs mooch of your internet connection. HAHAHA thatd be funny to see, you draw the curtains and open the window only to find loads of people playing on their DS' outside online from your PC's internet connection! XD

Nintendo DS - Faulkie - 03-08-2005

Heh, that would be funny - but isn't that essensially what a hotspot is? But without it being someone's house of course. Tongue

Nintendo DS - Lee-yoshi - 03-08-2005

Yea, except it feeds of an internet connection that can handle more then one person playing online easily! XD

Nintendo DS - Faulkie - 03-08-2005

Coolness, and where will they be?

Nintendo DS - Lee-yoshi - 03-08-2005

I have no idea where/how many of these 'HotSpots' will be created for the UK & Europe. It'll be fairly easy to set them up in shops in America, and in Japan its as easy as eating sandwiches, minimal effort, maximum output! XD

Shops in Europe and the UK though dont have big internet connection feeds and to upgrade them to do so would probabily require a big wad of cash that i doubt anyone would be able to afford... especially with this online marlarky being free and all. Also online gaming just wouldnt work over here while you're on the move - I mean can you see yourself standing up for a few hours while you play PSO online for free in GAME? Japanese people however are gaming crazy and they'll play online whenever/whenever they can... I wish i lived in Japan Sad

Thats where hotspots are likely to come from anyways, shops like GAME/GameStation that Nintendo would have to do very big deals with indeed to get it setup properly so that they're also available 24/7.

Nintendo DS - Faulkie - 04-08-2005

And who would want to stand outside a shop all day? Nobody! Tongue Ah well, at least there's the USB connection thing...

Nintendo DS - Danny - 08-08-2005

Today, i heard there is going to be pictochat upgrades at all good games retailers in december.WHAT!?!? This is going to be cool. I dont actually know if it will be free, but Cool!!
