I really hate Rangers but i do respect the fact they you lot do
the only reason id ever use a ranger is cos i like the yasmikovs i dont like any other ranger gun

the yasnikovs are pretty good
they come in handgun tipe, rifle tipe and mechgun tipe (prety collection)

Mechguns really do better suit for Hunters. My lvl 124 HUnewearl has Charge Vulcans with 50% hit. As well as a tasty dark percentage.
However, having just started a RAcaseal I'm currently using two brilliant weapon selections.
Draw Autogun+8 w/40%hit. I beat De Rol Le without using a single mate because this gun sucked 30hp per special and my hit% means I always hit with specials.
and a Master's Assault, which is why my last 4 lvlups have been without killing anything from Nano Dragons.
Soon I'll be using a lovely Custom Ray with 55%native, 30%machine and 25%dark.
So basically, it all depends, if you don't have hit% then Rifles all the way, but if you do then get mechguns.

i use a mech on the vhard ruins with 40% dark and i kill every thing in my way.

Yea, Spread Needles are cool but the Yas series is awsome. I love the laser sight on the 2000M.
