I had a tooth removed because it was sinking into my gum.

Gums can be sensitive... XD Especially to having pieces of it cut out of the way to yank a tooth out to leave a hole in it. It's very uncomfortable. XD

Heh, especially since gums and teeth are connected by nerves, I think, and therefore the nerves are ripped out, rather than being stabbed, it has a larger surface area so the pain is spread more.
