Ive got a CAT5. But i have realised why it aint connecting, and its cos i have had the cables allllllll wrong. Moving my comp into my room today to sort it out, so with any luck i'll be on tonight.

wats ur setup? cuz if u have wireless u can do it like this
GC-comp*-*modem(wireless)

I realised i had it set up all wrong. So im moving my comp so i can have it done properly.
