Tales of Symphonia (spoiler warning) - Cye Zero - 04-05-2008

I hated that Ice Cavern puzzle, I was stuck there for about 5 hours then I went online and found out that it was easy. After the first 30 minutes I kept getting cutscenes of Lloyd and the gang complaining how cold they are. STOP COMPLAINING DAMN IT!!! Tongue

Tongue Hahaha, I know! I just beat the game (again) and I'm starting my fourth file! It's so addictive!

The shadow temple is a little bit easier since you can see what each switch can do. But the party still complains about how cold, dark and creepy the dungeon is. DAMN YOU LlOYD STOP COMPLAINING. they never complained in the Fire or Thunder temples.

Tales of Symphonia (spoiler warning) - dnd - 07-05-2008

they where so easy they didnt have time to complain lol.

Still, going to give it another shot tonight and see if we can do it, otherwise faq time lol

Tales of Symphonia (spoiler warning) - Gimph - 07-05-2008

Angry Yeah, I hate the shadow temple. The stupid shadow things keep getting lost! STOP RUNNING AWAY!

I started another new file yesterday, and Genis decides to be an idiot and cast indignation on the first zombie. Ugh...I have to block that spell. I'm afraid of what'll happen when he gets enough MP to use Meteor Storm!

Also, I need help in the secret underworld level. What am I supposed to do?! I make it to the 3rd floor, and I hit all the torchy things, but I get lost and die. Help...

Tales of Symphonia (spoiler warning) - dnd - 07-05-2008

i will PM you a link to a guide (that helped me through it) shortly.

EDIT: i love using indignation judgement on the 1st zombie, OTT death ftw :p

Tales of Symphonia (spoiler warning) - Teh EkwEE - 07-05-2008

Umm, I think I ended the game after like my second playthrough...or maybe third with all characters maxed out at 255 and several other things. Over ten million Gald, about 10,000 points to spend on everything and transferred over all my skill points or something. I think every character had an EX GEM MAX on them and we had it set to where Zelos and Lloyd were complete badasses. Still, it wasn't the best game ever, good battle system. Beautiful cutscenes when, you know....they actually happened far enough and throughout the game. But otherwise, the story was passable, and I did not like the voice acting. I'm sorry, but the kid who voiced Robin from Teen Titans as Lloyd? Yeah, sorry, give me a ****ing break.

It was like Baten Kaitos, lame voice acting, good combat system, pretty much everything else was either standard or lackluster.

Tales of Symphonia (spoiler warning) - Gimph - 08-05-2008

I have to disagree with you. I personally loved the game. The voice-overs are pretty bad, I admit that. I actually did notice a lot of similarities to Baten Kaitos, but I enjoyed Tales of Symphonia much more. Baten Kaitos was really good, but it was also much shorter, and the puzzles were extremely frustrating at times. The boss battles got pretty damn annoying. My disk was screwed up too. When you played the game, when did you switch to disk 2? I originally borrowed it from a friend and the game switched disks after the battle with the tree spirit in the festival place. Then, I bought the game, started a new file, and for some reason, it stayed on disk 1 until AFTER you kill the emporer dude when he transforms into a giant squid thing! It was wierd! :S

Haha, yeah, Genis used explosion on the first zombie, and I got a ton of grade!

Combat system was good. Disappointing overall though. Didn't live up to everyone hype about it IMHO. Quite liked the range of characters you could use though. Loved Raine. Collette was just a little annoying for me. Liked quite a few of the monster designs.
