No the project name was Dolphin (this was for the Gamecube). And then once it had been fully created names started flying everywhere like Starcube, Gamecube. Guess which name won Rolleyes

It wasnt gona be in the shape of a star, that was only a name that they thought up. But that lost and it was named Gamecube Smile

They got the name Dolphin from the internal chips, Geko I think is Japanese for moonlight. Imagine a dolphin called flipper under the moonlight Smile .
