What a mess.I'l just simplify
In multimode or online,to play on Hard all players need to be on lv. 20 or above,V.Hard lv.40 or above and Ult lv. 80 or above.
In single player(offline)u can only go to the next difficulty after beating the one ur currently on.And it works for both EPs(Ex:U beat Hard Ep1 and u unlock V.Hard on ep1 and Ep2).
And about the areas.When ur in multimode or online,to have already unlocked an area(Ex:Ruins)when u start,u must do the area before it in single player(Ex.If u beat Mines 1 and Mines 2,turn on the pillar,kill the boss and talk to the principal and save,u'l unlock the Ruins for multimode and online in the same difficulty).There.

lol i think u made it more confusing but i got it, i talked to principal after kicking del ro le's needlish ass, and just saved, imma try to get to mines
