i am not sure what year 8 is because its diffrent here in ireland but i have am in my 8 year of school i think

its caled second year in ireland and this is how are years in school works:
PRIMARY SCHOOL
Jouniner Infants
Senior Infants
Frist Class
Second Class
Thrid Class
Forth Class
Fifth Class
Sixth Class

SECOND YEAR
Frist Year
Second Year
Thrid Year
Forth Year(U dont have to do this if u dont want to)
Fifth Year
Sixth Year

thatsyear 7 in england and your work really doesn't matter then unless you get put in a lower set for second year or something like that
