Router decision? - Steppenwolf - 13-04-2005 Think of your wireless router as a radio station sending signals. You'll need some sort of a receiver (like a radio)to retrieve the signal and send it to the xbox. This is the function of the adapter. Xbox makes their own and will support it. It also costs more than any other (surprised?). I had to get two, one for each xbox. There are adapters by linksys, d-link, and others that claium they'll do just as well as xboxes. They run 70 to 100 dollars each. Check this out: http://www.xbox.com/en-us/live/connect/wireless_connect.htm Router decision? - NetNomad - 13-04-2005 First of all, I'm on Gamecube, not Xbox. I talked to someone else about it; the $40 GC Broadband Adapter I already ordered is what I need for that. Heh, duh. Should've thought of that. Router decision? - Steppenwolf - 13-04-2005 Xbox or GameCube doesn't matter, the configuration is the same. Just that you're fortunate enough not to have to pay $50 for Microsofts friggin' name. Router decision? - ~Buddah~ - 13-04-2005 I HEARD THAT YOU HAVE to pay 50/mo. for gcube Router decision? - NetNomad - 14-04-2005 Um, no. Lol... $9 a month just like normal (I think??). Router decision? - Wootem Ace - 14-04-2005 Yeah, you only have to pay the Hunters License price. Router decision? - ~Buddah~ - 14-04-2005 cool i thought it was way more |
