Wedding Announcement - UK Jester - 18-07-2005
First of all, thank you to all of you for your kind comments from both Redhead and myself.
For the 411 on the day. Redhead looked so stunning that apparently my jaw looked like it was going to fall of when she walked down the aisle. When the Registrar asked if anyone had any reason why we should not wed, you could have heard a pin drop, perfect. The food laid on by the hotel was delicious, the disco run by a close friend had all our favourite songs and everyone said they had a good time.
Redhead and I both felt like we have been walking on clouds. The sensation finally wore off today. On the wedding night, instead of sleeping we stayed up all night, talking about everything that had happened since the day we first met.
One of my friends commented how he had been to three weddings this year, and that this was the first were he didn't feel like asking "How long will this last?". Also my sister-in-law promised to murder me if I ever hurt Redhead, apparently this is a tradition in the family and had everyone in tears of laughter.
For those older Ragol.co.uk members who may be contemplating marriage, the venue was the Henley Hotel just outside of Henley-on-Arden, south of Birmingham. The service and assistance was top quality and the rooms are lovely. Both of us are at a loss as to why the Hotel is only two stars.
As to having children. Redhead already has two fine children from when she was younger. A handsome young son, who is playing in the current Episode 3 league, and the cutest daughter in the world (IMHO). We have no plans to have children and I'm very happy with my fine step-children, despite losing my hair and going grey over them!
