I'll try to explain it, though with the 9000M, there is a large area of opinion involved since this is a very "special" weapon.
Damage calculations:
((ATP - DFP) / 5) * 0.9 = weak attack
weak attack * 1.89 = heavy attack
weak attack * 3.32 = sacrificial special (not applicable to the 9000M or Red Mechgun... legitly anyways >.>)
You are a Ramar, so for this expample, I'll use lv15 Shifta.
Red Mechgun
Ground ATP +110
ATP range w/ lv15 Shifta: 110-110
ATP average w/ lv15 Shifta: 110
ATA +25
Damage added to the character's base damage: (assuming your character does over 0 to begin with)
Normal: 22
Hard: 42
Yasminkov 9000M
Ground ATP +60-100
ATP range w/ lv15 Shifta: 60-112
ATP average w/ lv15 Shifta: 86
ATA +27
Damage added to the character's base damage: (assuming your character does over 0 to begin with)
Normal: 15
Hard: 28
Let's take the Govulmer, Ultimate, online; just for that special Skyly Ramar of yours. ;o
DFP: 726
EVP: 666
HP: 2429
In terms of ATA, both weapons will hit on a NHH attack using a maxed out Ramar. So, no debates there.
Ramars ATP w/ lv15 Shifta: 1615
Unequipped damage to an un-Zalured Govulmer:
Normal: 160
Hard: 302
Damage with Red Mechs:
Normal: 182
Hard: 344
NHH Attack: 2610
Damage with 9000M:
Normal: 175
Hard: 330
NHH Attack: 2505
The Red Mechguns are 4% more effective with damage, but they both kill in the exact same number of combos. That is only for this one instance though. In later areas the two ATA may be a great advantage, or the range may be; Jarl's Red Mechs have 20hit though, so they have a serious advantage there. Here, the 9000M's limited use of range makes it better than a Red Mechgun.
But don't use either in Towers. >_> You'll damage cancel the lv200 n00b Ramarl with Demon's Mechs, and lv200 n00b Ramar friend using Charge Assults.

Edit2: Nevermind, I realized at the very end, I said "Ramar" twice. I meant Ramarl the first time. Now Saiffy's post makes a bit more sense.

rifle is good enough, but mech damage at rifle range? even if it is a bit dodgy damage, its still good damage. (that said, i've never tried em, and probably never will, so if im talking crap poke me)

Maybe in towers, or ep4, but ep4 is redundant to most of you anyways. And mechs in towers isn't the smartest thing either though
2 ata on a ramar won't make a difference, ever.
and for future reference, WN, you should not troll, especially if you are trying to imply two RAmars spamming demon's mechs and charge mechs are good, though, I shouldn't expect more from you, obviously.

Personally, I only use Red Mechs on Loaded Die... I loved using them on Will, and I'd switch em back if (a) they matched, and (b) I could find a new use for the Yas. But that's not happening at the moment...
