misterbud, I agree with you, this place is for PSO, not debates on grammmer and spelling, which I found several mistakes in that person's post, heh, not exactly a Oxford graduate me thinks.

Perhaps "chance shields", that work like the defence daggers in Resident Evil or something, you equip them to a shortcut, and press the button when you want them to deflect the next attack, but you're limited in using them, perhaps taking 3 minutes to recharge after each use, or needing to feed them an energy source.

Such as in Jak 3.

Your shield drains directly on your Light Eco meter, making it able to be kept on for a maximum of about 45 seconds.

Maybe this barrier could be a Force only thing and drain directly from TP.

sounds good to me.

The problem there is Fonewearls etc, recover TP at the rate of about 3pts per second at higher levels, and at Lv136 my chars TP is something like 1837, and that's without any boosted aids, such as Angel TP or whatever, so this wouldn't really matter much, also, Difluids are relativly cheap, so you could just keep heading back and buying more.

By theory, my character would be invincable.

Well, the rate of TP drain would probably be modified. It could be 1 per second, or it could be up to 40-50 per second. It could be a percentage of your TP gague per second, there are plenty of options here, they just would have to find a way that worked.

What about Androids, they don't have TP, also, I think they'd have probs calculating TP loss/TP gain ratios that way.

Well as its a technique, the androids wouldnt be able to use the barrier, i think it would work out ok.

So androids would be able to do even less, I'm guessing in this case they would have super HP, or perhaps an extra item slot or two as standard.
