Sony PSP - Fabo Craven - 29-03-2005 no this could actually be a blessing for nintendo. If the controllers work then it will be a great thing. think about every gams having a controler layout that works best fot them. PSo could have more buttons to quick select on and it would just work better then with a old-style controller. Sony PSP - Judgment - 29-03-2005 That could be freakin awsome actuly. I cant see why it could be a bad thing. EDIT: oh and perhaps we should get back on topic
Sony PSP - God-IX - 29-03-2005 Bah, Topic? No topic The DS controler might be a good thing, but I see many bad things, but the good overweight the bad, so it would be good, and different, and everyone is looking for something different, as long as its good As far as the PSP go, the games on that are indeed good as Kisanzi said, I don't think its going to do as bad as everyone hopes, or thinks, but pratically noone will buy one unless thier rich, or saving up for awhile, it costs almost double of what a SYSTEM would cost, I would rather buy an XBox at this point until its cheaper Sony PSP - PSO Phreak - 29-03-2005 You're right about that. Given the choice between XBox 360 and the PSP, I'll choose XBox 360. Chances are that they'll be the same price anyways. Personal note: I can't wait to see the new Elderscrolls. BTW: I respect your opinions about the DS controller scheme for the Revolution, however, if this doesn't go over very big then it could be detrimental to Nintendo's empire. Sony PSP - mr_shoe_uk - 29-03-2005 I see everyone saying how great the PSP games are, but there only seem to be 3 good ones on launch (Ridge Racers, Lumines and Metal Gear), with basically nothing all that exciting in the future. I think WarioWare, Mario and Project Rub are brilliant, but people seem to say the DS launch games are worse, something I don't understand. Anyway, on DS, I'm most looking forward to Nintendogs, Yoshi's Touch and Go, Advance Wars DS, Another Code, Jam with the Band (my import should arrive this week!), Meteos and Animal Crossing. On the PSP, I haven't really heard of anything that interesting (though I guess the Bleach fighting game might be good). Sony PSP - Ria - 29-03-2005 Is anyone getting both of thse beauties? PSP and DS? I may get the PSP if the games improve, I think the PS2's games are going downhill fast. Hope the PSP goes uphill
Sony PSP - PSO Phreak - 30-03-2005 Mr. Shoe, are you five years old? Nintendogs, Animal Crossing? If so, I can see why the Nintendo DS appeals to you. These games, as well as the Nintendo DS are targetted to younger audiences and casual gamers. The PlayStation Portable is more for teenagers and young adults, thus explaining the more explicit content they contain. If you prefer the sort of games that the Nintendo DS provides, then by all means, don't let me stand in your way. I personally do not think that the Nintendo DS will make it 2 years. Folks, we're looking at the next Virtual Boy. Sony PSP - God-IX - 30-03-2005 Hmm, I think the DS was targeted at anyone that played the old games, wich in fact would be older audiences, but of course they make new games for the younger ones Me personnaly say, the DS games are better, because I liked all the old Nintendo games, and the PSP has few good games coming out, hopefully a Final Fantasy, that would help thier market, but they aren't doing to well, especially with the price they set it at. Sony PSP - Aaron_Blitzmage - 30-03-2005 I must say I'm actually tempted to get a PSP and would be desprate to buy one if it wasn't the fact that they have aload of defects. The games look real good and it can be used as a web browser now =D But the defects to perfect ratio. It seems like for evrey 10 PSP's only 1 doesn't have any defects. Sony have also been total assholes about their defects by saying we should adapt to a sticky square button and that dead pixels are not a defect. Sony makers of PSP also seem to have alot of dandruf and haircuts while making PSP's. Some screens have little white bits of dust under the screen which looks like dandruf or somebody snorting drugs across the PSP. Some have curly things under the screen which looks like a pubic hair. When I pay £170 for a handheld I expect it to be quality and perfect with no defects at all. But with this horrible defect ratio I can't help but be put off. Sony PSP - God-IX - 30-03-2005 Hmm, how interesting..... Your right, they are being assholes about it indeed, they should have done better in thier attempt to make a good handheld, the sticky button is what pisses me off the most, do you know how annoying a sticky button is??
