But I don't think that your party would much enjoy the horrible damage you do with both attacks and techs...The only real advantage would be extended shifta and deband. I'm not saying I have anything against fomarls, but I am saying that I wouldnt put them before FOmars.

You can cast techs and still use ATA. My FOmarl uses guns regularly (specifically a Chaos Vulcan +8 and an Inferno Bazooka) and still finds time to split Pofuilly Slimes with lots of badly-timed Rabartas...

So unless you're going to be a support force, accuracy is a key stat. Especially since that's what they don't excell in very well. FOmars especially.
