WarWalker Wrote:cheating justs stupid and ruins the point of the game.... Also i get really annoyed when a level 40 joins your game, then starts begging for rares and as soon as you get down on ragol he whips out a double cannon... Angry they think they are impressive? its useless no1 is impressed so they should just GO AWAY and live their miserable little lives Big Grin
They may simply not know how one should behave in an online game.

I have met quite a few people online who went online for the first time and went straight to the first block (Vega 1). They then were given rares from friendly dupers and continued to play completely unaware that they even had dupes. Don't forget that most people connecting to an online game won't expect cheating to be as widespread as it is on PSO. If a person hasn't been on a PSO site such as this one, they are unlikely to find out that they are cheating until they decide to leave the community at Vega.

When you then look at the lack of busy blocks on US ships, you see why these kids then decide to stay on Vega 1, as they probably think this is where the main PSO community is.

Please could the members who simply want to call cheaters "weak" or say how much they hate them, not do so? You do not add anything to these topics and only drive an even bigger wedge between the legits and the illegits.

Its when it gets to the point where people are doing about 2000 damage and dont respect the fact that you need the exp as much as them that i say "I hate that". Some people dont quit using crazily hacked (or multi equipped) weapons even if you name the game "LEGITS ONLY".
On the other hand i know plenty of good cheaters/hackers who i play with all the time. Some people take the legit thing to far and say stuff like "Any exp you get from playing with non legit people is not legit exp" Which i totally disagree with. Cool

The point of cheating - WarWalker - 23-11-2004

your non legit friends, do they do uber high damage? coz thats the only that really sets me off, when someone 40 levels lower than me is killing ult monsters in 2 shots...

The point of cheating - Zal - 23-11-2004

There simply isn't a point to it. It's about as old as the series itself, I would imagine the cheaters themselves can't even come up with a point anymore.

The point of cheating - Steppenwolf - 23-11-2004

You're right Zal; this whole issue has been beat to death ten times over.

The point of cheating - HUchamp - 23-11-2004

what i would like to see, possible or not, is have pso do what, for example, Diablo2 did and have a cheat fest on open battle.net where people can cheat and play with other non-legits, and have a closed battle.net where legits can play and no one could hack, dupe, ect... that would be sweet

The point of cheating - masterofchaos - 24-11-2004

i hate when people try to fsod u that make me mad

The point of cheating - DarkMagician - 24-11-2004

Hackers and Dupers are truly unpopular around here, no?
