Hate to burst youre bubble guys, but they do make 3rd party GCs! Panasonic made a way more robust and far more awsome one that does everything the PS2 can (DVDs etc.) and is also a gamecube, best console in my opinion! Want proof? Fine, you have my word and this:

I have seen one of these in real life, i know an owner of one and its not a hoax.
Its liscenced by nintendo, was build in small numbers and by fans was dubbed the Panasonicube.
