It's not that I was skeptical of the graphics. I would have been willing to give them a chance, if they had been done decently. I hope you realize, WW isn't the only game out there with cel-shading. Not only did they do the cel-shading bit, they did it badly. Then they called it "innovative." I mean, Link's hat never has more than two colors applied to it at any given time. That's not innovation, that's laziness.
And I dunno, I think someone once told me that cel-shading is harder to do than regular graphics. I find this hard to believe... but even if it's true, why would you do it? Spend a lot more time on something that has, what, 1% of the detail of the original? Graphics like WW's would be easier to draw.
Note that I'm not out to ruin the cel-shading graphic style; I only think it should (a) be done WELL, and (b) be applied to a game that actually can use it. Make a Mario game cel-shaded, maybe. Super Mario Sunshine (though not a wonderful game either) could have looked decent with cel-shading. And on the off-chance they ever make a 3D Kirby game (I wish), cel-shading would obviously be the best choice for it. But Zelda games just don't go well with it.

I agree....recently, game developers have been cutting short on spent time and effort....I hope this is not the case in the upcoming Zelda

Yha, but I'm afraid that it will not get better, if they get money out of it, then they will keep it up....
So until they get SO lazy that thier games suck real bad....then the games will continue to be of bad quality....but....always a possibility
