I'm afraid it may have to be, because although it's very nice ( Wink ) it still is essentially a half-flame. We'll see what DE thinks.

Double Edge Wrote:Sephiroth Now and Lee, I have deleted 2 posts a piece by you in this thread. I ask both of you, but particularily Sephiroth to behave, or I will be forced to administer a warning. Thank you.
was just tryin to stop him from startin a flame war Sad sry bout that

Yeah, I don't care if it gets edited but I want Sephiroth to read it first.

It is a very true post... personally when I post a rant directed at someone else I avoid typing directly at them ("the only 'fool' here is you"). All I can say besides that is... well I've seen forums where just about everything disagreeable was taken as a flame (I'm not saying this one is one of them, but I'd not like to see it become one).

Ironic also that I'm defending someone who once FSODed my FOnewm. Tongue (although that was in the days before Altair became the popular block, and apparently some bigger hacker was coming... that's the rumor I heard anyway... but at least I lost nothing from that one)

Yeah I agree legato unlike most MMORPGS you need experience with the game just as much as you need 'exp'. I mean I played somone who had hacked themself an awesome character once with my legit force and totally pwned them because I had been playing longer and knew more about the game. Oh yeah and Legato to be more technically accurate some hackers do try to hack themselves amazing characters because yes using an AR is hacking whatever you label it. As I have said before guessing a password correctly on a computer is technically hacking so dont assume you need experiece with coding to hack stuff. Again I think you are referring to a cracker (and not the kind you eat with cheese Tongue).

Hackers, a definition - Legato2471 - 07-07-2005

Haha yeah. The majority of real hackers who packet edit and stream edit don't bother with strong characters though. Some do. -sigh- now i want cheese

Hackers, a definition - Double Edge - 07-07-2005

I did edit it out, for valid reason. End of story, I hope for your sake Sephiroth had seen it already, but whatever. Sorry, it had to go. Anyways, continue with our nice discussion. Tongue

P.S. I'm so darn lenient, I should have warned 'em both. :ermm:

Query:

If someone uses an Action Replay for the Anti-whatever codes, what category does that person fall into?

Hackers, a definition - Legato2471 - 07-07-2005

That would make them a script kiddy.

Double Edge, I could've just PMed my post to him, I guess I should've thought of that in the first place.

Hackers, a definition - Anti Hacker - 07-07-2005

Yeah they would be a white hat hacker, or a 'good little script kiddie' but i dont like to use that term because some pople do good with ARs and get labeled script kiddies.
