I personally use Yoshi in his standard kart. I don't know why it just feels right.

lately i been using yoshi in the egg kart, really high accel and decent speed o.o;
i use the standard ys kart alot though too ^-^. i love the extra weight (but not too much weight like the Cucumber) and the item boost certainly doesnt hurt

I use Mario in Luigi's Poltergust. Or in the Yoshi Egg.
Sure, I could probably use other characters fine, but there is a philosophy I share in many Mario games, because when I'm not using him, he always sucks. I'm just helping push Mario to the top, because that's where he should be. It's his game, after all.

thats cos he's so middleish- wario can kick like hell, luigi can run on water and do loads of cool stuff, yoshi can eat people then shoot eggs and mario is just like.... crap.
