There is no way unless you're using dirt cheap crappy parts that the Wii can be better than the 360 yet cheaper. - Phantom.
Oh come on dude, can you honestly say that the improvement from xbox to xbox360 is a huge leap forward????? Its not. Its not a next-gen console at all, its a multi-core nightmare that has to use its on board ram to branch thread Wtf??? same as ps3, devs say. Wii uses same but improved architecture as gamecube allowing for branch threading without using lots of system resources(clock cycles) therefore not needing huge ram and a cpu that runs at 1million ghz and is as hot as the surface of the sun. Oh man........?????
Also gamecube/Wii uses 1T-Sram. Everyone should google that as i cant be bothered to explain how cool this ram is over ddr etc.

So iguess Wii all think of sh*t and laugh idiotically when we all see Winnie the Pooh everywhere then. To all the haters, sort it out yeah, and after thinking for a while i have come to the conclusion the name is genius. Wii all use the word Wii in nearly every other sentence Wii mutter to each other.
Trust me 8 days to go and everyone will be bursting for a Wii in their living rooms :S Had too sorry.

Yes we all know the name sucks,but nintendo are not appealing to the hardcore gamer anymore. Game sales are falling and the videogame market is shrinking. Wii is an attempt to appeal to the non-gamer/retired gamer. Thats obvious to see as they have even taken Nintendo out of Nintendo Wii AND Nintendo ds(lite). So it seems they will market it as a lifestyle gadget more than anything else.Example of other daft names - Kleenex,Xerox,iPod,Hoover, hell even Apple itself , they could be considered daft names, Google won over Altavista as we all know Altavista was a lot better but the money went into google.
Fanboy land - no. Fan of Nintendo - yes. But moreover a fan of video games. Yes the console is cheap because it is cheap to produce. Wii does not have the capabilities to do what x360 does. So? We all have pcs that are as capable if not more capable than x360.
As for magic architecture:if thats what is thought then cool, i suppose you could call it magic. For years now devs have always complimented nintendo on the way they design and put together their hardware(snes 3mhz cpu,genesis16mhz cpu, snes better sound and graphics nuff said. Cube 405mhz cpu xbox 733mhz cpu, cube as good graphics and sound.IT IS ALL in the CHIP architecture dudes.)
Btw my microwave oven has a 2.5ghz chip inside it but can i play games on my microwave? Therefore my microwave is more powerful than Wii? No. Chip archtecture.
All 3 consoles ps3,x360 and Wii cpus are based on IBM 2.5ghz ppc chip so how come Wii is cheaper than the rest? Simple. You are going to pay for features you dont need dudes, whereas on the Wii design, its designed for the devs to use. So simple it hurts.
L1 cache, L2 cache, L3 cache. Wii has more of this than others allowing cooler running slower cpus able to do very high performance calculations again without using loads of system resources.
Please dont misunderstand i would prefer the Wii to have a little more grunt than the speculated amount but hey if my console of choice, because of the chip design is able to use ALL of its internal Ram(88Mb) as an L3 cache and is £200 cheaper than anything else then yep thats good enough.
Also Wii owners wont be paying for the priveledge of hd display which is atm pointless really. For those who are soooooo concerned of the display capabilities dont be, Madden according to EA is running 16:9 at 480p. Lovely.

nearly Metal slug anthology, Hideo kojima(metal Gear fame) at E3 on Wii, Square/enix only 3rd party to have Final(100% complete) Wii dev kits, Rockstar have 35 Dev kits, things are looking up for Nintendo again, at last lol.
