Bad news for EU/AU importers - nomercy - 25-10-2006 pink Wrote:Seriously though, can they get much more stupid? This is getting pathetic. They're doing everything they can to take people's money and not provide any customer service. The main problem is, bad customer service makes you lose a heck of a lot more money than taking care of your customers does. Who's in charge of their marketing planning? Knowing them its probably either a 15 year old smoking weed, or a Win95 desktop PC. Bad news for EU/AU importers - RebelMaren - 25-10-2006 I say we organize a Coup d'etat. Shed off the shackles of SEGA's Oppression! Bad news for EU/AU importers - nomercy - 25-10-2006 RebelMaren Wrote:I say we organize a Coup d'etat. Shed off the shackles of SEGA's Oppression! I'm all for it, although hopefully the plan will work better than the one to steal Sonic Team's master crystals. Bad news for EU/AU importers - Anti Hacker - 25-10-2006 It seems that the free trial is no longer in existance. They counted the open beta for the XBOX360 (containing the minority of all players) as a free trial for everyone, and if you don't play 360 I guess SEGA couldn't care less. ![]() As you can see, bonus days are given when you first sign up which is almost a free trial - but not quite. The bonus days onlly appy to an account once, I think, so not every time you buy a GL (Guardians Licence) - or they would have just shown the days on the subscription options in a more straightforward manner. So you have to pay, but when you first pay you get 'bonus days' - but at the end of the day I think you still have to pay whether you like what you see or not. So, it seems a pointless system. Oh well, looks like offline for me. Unless I can get someone to pay my GL (from the US). I think I might be able to do that, though. Bad news for EU/AU importers - pink - 25-10-2006 A bloody bunch of idiots Sega is. Bad news for EU/AU importers - Darkwolf30 - 25-10-2006 OH so that's what those bonus days meant. Too bad theres no free trial. Bad news for EU/AU importers - Moonwraith - 25-10-2006 Here's the best thing - it appears countries that do not use the Address Verification System on their debit/credit cards can actually cheat the system and pay. Sadly the UK does have the system. France, Germany, Spain and Italy don't though. Bad news for EU/AU importers - Anti Hacker - 26-10-2006 Hehe, aw well it's not so bad. Hey Moonwraith, if people cheat the system and later their governments impose the same system we have going they'll all be forced to quit or somehow pay through US cards. I hope that's not a likely scenario, since it would seriously annoy a lot of gamers, and a proportion of the PSU community. |
