You forget DM, I'm too rich to be blackmailed, lol.

So back on topic, (not that I mind my posts being edited as long as my great ideas ain't stolen), what about making the PSO5 a server based game, thus cutting the costs, and enabling you to be the mod of your own game, like in that Homeworld game or whatever it is.

And even better yet, a colleague of mine in France has told me that there is some sort of computer games awards ceremony being held somewhere in France soon, and that there were talks of PSO5/PSU floating around it, so I'm booking myself a holiday for it to see what's up, I should only be there a few days, so I'll see what I can get, and I'll also try to sneak in a camcorder or something, (he told me they search you, so since the awards cover a couple of days, I'll check out their security, and see if I can sneak in a camera of some sort), I'll be getting the information from my colleague in a couple of days time, and I will book a trip as soon as I can after that, I'll keep yoou posted and even try to send some pics if I can find an internet cafe wherever this awards thing is, (he has merely asked me of my interest, and I said yes, I've been working hard, so I deserve a holiday anyhow, been like 3 months, since I had a day off and 6 months since my past holiday[or there abouts], lol).

Are you going there because of a rumour that it might appear? I dont know, what games show is this exactly? The next ones E3 to my knowledge... GDC-E got cancelled whenever/where-ever that was supposed to be...

It's not a show of games, it's an award, and I was told PSO5/PSU was up for a award about it's hype or something, (totally over-rated in my opinion).

I'm also going for other reasons:

1. It's a game show.
2. It's a holiday.
3. I deserve one.
4. I can afford it.
5. Gets me free publicity.

Hehe, fair enough! I'm not stopping you from going by any means, have a nice holiday Big Grin

Also though while i'm here, it seems you're not sure whether PSU is part of the PSO series or not. Just for the record, PSU is a completely different series to PSO, as PSO, Episode V will most likely be a future expansion pack to PSO: Blue Burst!

I'm aware of that, it's just that I know they change game specs quite frequently, PSO3 was originally the same format as PSO1/2 and you could max your character out at L300, not L999, (I've got correspondances from Sega confirming this).

Heh, also, this trip give me an excuse to go to the Calais Hypermarche on the way back and grab some duty-free booze, lol, (and some ciggys for my parents, though my Mother is trying to quit now, which I'm very proud of), I was debating whether to take the Vauxhall Zafira, but I'll arrive in style in the TVR T350, I don't drink that much booze anyhow.

Unfortunatly, I haven't got a reply from my colleague yet, and I have also sent them a text message, if I don't hear anything from them by the weekend, I may be able to contact them through another number.

Checking the original correspondance with me regarding this event, it's held over a few days, with the a day being set aside for viewing the entries, another for voting on them, another for seminars while the votes are being tallied, and then the awards themselfs, with a few special things happening afterwards, though I'm not sure on the restrictions over who can enter and who can't, I know it's not open to the general public, luckily I'm able to get in as I am a pro-musician, and music is a vital part of games as we all know, (and since my company is primariliy entertainment based, that works in my favour too).

Anyhow, I'll try to get more information and post it as soon as I can, (I'll check to see if you can come with me if you want Lee-Yoshi, you'll just have to blag it and say you're my assistant or something, that'd work), I'll check on that.

Incidently, will PSO5/PSU work the same was online as PSO1/2 and PSO3, (not poorly, I mean by the games being hosted by Sega, or will they be hosted by the user, such as in Homeland).

I expect they'll work as PSO has always work, with games being played on SEGA servers. Homeland turned the Gamecube itself into a server, i dont know if the PS2 is capable of that, and SEGAs methods seem tried and tested so its probabily better in their opinion to use that format.

Also, cheers for the offer, i could always do with some duty-free Wink Although unforts i very much doubt ill be able to reach where-ever you'd be shipping from (Presumably Dover), let alone get the time off work Sad Be cool to hear some of the goings on though ^_^

Southend-Dove-Calais-Hotel-Event, that's how I'll be working, but I'll be picking up the booze on the way back, much easier that way, and the car is enough of an incentive to steal anyhow it's worth a mint as it is, it's the type of car that is "accuired to order", if you get what I mean.
