The info.
i have been searching the web for PSU facts and i have found some !
to start with YES ITS GOING ONLINE!
next, the game will be a real time action rpg like pso, but this time
the offline story will be much like the old Phantasy Star series while online is going to be like PSO. a release date has been set to Q4 2005 for JP and US and Q1 2006 for EU, but its not clear if it will be for the current generation of consoles.
the platform.
PSU will get a release on all platforms, but if you will finally be able to play with players on other platforms is still unknown.
The servers.
By the time PSU will be released Sonicteam most likely dusnt exsist anymore and sega should have started the fusion between sega and sammie.inc.
this would mean sega should then have enough resources to patrol the servers themselves instead of having players do it for them.
( like currently on the PSO BB trial)

The picture shows a PSO:BB GM, they patrol the servers on BB, its most likely the same thing will be on PSU.

i once saw about 5 of them on the DC servers once,like 3 years ago. they didnt speak they jus walked over to the counter and transported sumwhere. i was amazed, i thought WTF are they, there not in game characters. but they must of been the rumoured PSO POLICE?

They were hacked chars. I've heard they were for the Famitsu editors when they first introduced the Famitsu challenge (like the one you can currently get on VR missions). So that char has been around for a while.
It's going to be quite good if there are people going around making sure everything is ship shape. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside ^_^;

If you want to see a full running, cinematic trailer, just go onto Windows Media Player, then go to Media Guide (When Online) then type Phantasy Star Universe, It ROCKS!

It isnt known, really. It was just shown during E3, so it isnt too determined what date it may come out. Or year, for that matter.

I hope it comes out before my character gets corrupted! I'd probably stop playing if I got corrupted. How do charcters get corrupted?

there might be another war th9ing going on in it. theres always some rivalry in PSO games. in ep1and2 its the goverment, lab and militery(even though there wasnt any fighting) and in ep3 then theres a bit of a war between the hunters and the arkz (in case u havnt noticed, they were fighting in that one) so maybe there will be a new kind of rivalry? but im not getting exited over PSU...yet
