Indeed, although it is rarer at lower levels, the higher the level, the more likely the attack.

I watched sd28's siggy again. It definitly looks like a tre-attack thingy. It's Matt, Renault, and Jafar all attacking at the same time.

Nope. That is the Assassins one-hit kill move. Matt, Jaffar and Legualt all look similar to each other with that move but it is only on Assassin, probaly Jaffar.

But if you look you can see all three. Matt's red cape. Renault's grey head wrap, and Jafars brown cape, and brown head wrap.
