Sorry I was gone for the weekend and it looks as if I started a forest fire of posts.

The reason I was depressed (for those of you who want to know) was because it was just one of those days where you feel that you are all alone and that there is really no one who would care if you were gone (i'm sure you've had them). Back to the topic; I was wondering in general.

My personal though on life (now that I am not so depressed), is that life it to be lived for happiness. What makes us happy we have to find for ourselves. At the moment for me that would be learning and trying to find that special someone. In the future that will probably change.

Personally I am an atheist but I can the purpose of religion. For most of us, we have a fear of death. This leads to the necessity of something that allows us to continue on with life without the constant fear of death. This means that we find something that 'negates' death i.e. an afterlife. I can see that this is a very good thing in most cases. It allows a person to continue on with life and not live in constant fear of death. Personally, I do not fear death. It is merely an end to 'life'. Which brings us to another query which is perhaps more important. What is life?

life is an elaborate mind game when you get down to get from the moment you are born till the moment you die you seek to find that which either makes you happy or validates your existence in this world because really a hundred years from now ? whos going to remember ragol.co or any of its members? maybe some of us will become famous thus going down in the pages of history but in the grand scheme of things we are all just igsignificant life forms carrying out their daily tasks until one day their finite life spans give out . So live party try a recreational drug or two so long as you dont get hooked just make the most of what little time you have .

That's generally my philosophy when I am not depress (happens rarely btw). I completely agree with that. Life is for the living as they say (no pun intended).

Lol how very true. I know you're not depressed I meant to imply nothing of the sort. I merely stated that my personal philosophy tends to change depending upon the mood that I am. This is especially true lately because I have been reading a lot of philosophical and religious books. Any opinions on the second question I have posed?

This might lead to some better in depth understanding of the underlieing issues in things such as abortion, right to life, or many other important issues of today.

Please stay on topic. I REALLY do not want to get this topic shut down. Personally I love philosophy and would rather not muddy it with personal squabbles.

No problem. I just love this topic. So what do you think of my second question. What is your personal opinion?

Question: What is life?
