Saw and Saw II - Karasu Murder - 10-12-2005

That was her boyfriend? That makes it a little different then...though I still stand by my point that she got off lighter than the others for THAT movie. I'm sorry...I'm afraid of inflicting pain on myself, like the first guy in the second movie. In Saw II...I felt bad for her till I saw the ending.

And as Orphen has pointed out, when you're in a tough situation where there's a very real chance you might not survive...most people would honestly panic. It's incredibly easy to sit back and say *Oh no, not me, I'd do this, this, this, and this...but WOULD you? The human mind can work against you when true unadulterated terror is added. Some people probably could keep a relative cool...others would be screaming their heads off.

The movie also shows this, because if this statement about being able to think logicly in these situations because if they all had though like this, they all would have survived and the movie would be pointlessly happy.^_^. I'm sure that the people who made this movie didn't want to create very..er...stupid people getting murdered by these traps- they probably meant to make us scared about the situations that they were in, and by the fact that we wouldn't have done much better to survive than they had. At least they were thinking semi-logicly when they found all of those hidden doors, tape recorders, and various rooms rather than just sitting in the first rooms killing each other out of frustration. It just goes to show us, "what would you do if you were in these horrible situations?" That is the truly scary part about these movies.

Indeed. The movie does force you to reflect on yourself (Or it did at least with my friends and I) and we came to the conclusion that we *might* have done as well as them...but when faced with our own fears possibly not. It wasn't so much a movie about stupid people who didn't deserve to live dying (Well it was but still) it had a bit of a moral lesson tagged onto it, so you would leave the theatre with a little bit more of an appreciation for how precious...and fragile life really is.

I agree with both of you. It made myself and my friends also reflect this movie upon ourselves, which led to a bit of arguing and lighthearted insulting, but yeah.
