Lions artwork - decswxaqz - 29-04-2004 I'd have to agree with Mini on this one. People who can't/don't draw, usually just say "Great work!". Artists will do the same but would probably have a more critical eye. To be honest I envy anyone with an inch of drawing ability. I always wanted to be an artist but can't draw -.-. I usually just say it's great if I like it. If you want constructive criticism, then I'd be happy to try and provide some for each picture. Lions artwork - Lionheart - 29-04-2004 by all means go ahead. I never wanna hear "i cant draw" as an excuse, up to 3 years ago i said the same thing. I taught myself by using existing drawings as models and trying to replicate them but just looking at them. Over time, my technique improved. Within the last year, ive been able to take portions of a pic and finish it myself (most of the drawings here are like that). Within the last month or so, ive been getting used to drawing things completely out of my head. I hope to be a graphic artist/designer and until recently i didnt think i had the talent, but between criticizm from you guys (and other people) and training i may have to get the job, i think ill be more than fine, so keep those critiques coming. Lions artwork - Melfi - 01-05-2004 Hey, check it out! I got round to posting on this thread! Great pics Lion! I still have trouble with hands and eyes. Can never get the spacing right. -.- I should start a thread for my art too....But I don't know how to put it up! Dang you computer illiteracy! Plus, my stuid scanner won't scan, so I gotta use my digital camera. Eh, oh well. Here's a tip: Look at your own hands when drawing. I do that a lot. Or to get a pose right, do it yourself in a mirror. ^_^; I have some moments in study hall when I'm in a wierd position...heheheh........ Lions artwork - Lionheart - 02-05-2004 yeah that is what i do (use my body as an example), and it helps a lot. Lions artwork - Faulkie - 02-05-2004 I can't do that, because I mainly draw girls and I'm a guy... so I look at girls. No really it helps... that and it's fun!
Lions artwork - Melfi - 02-05-2004 Isn't that kinda perverted....? Eh, oh well. Whatever works for you! I even get my friends to do sometimes. *in a skool library, some guy is doing a wierd pose.....* Lions artwork - Lionheart - 02-05-2004 see, im not too great at drawing girls so i dont draw them that much so i dont have a problem. I could just use a guy as a model for that anyway, just make them a little more curvy with boobs. Lions artwork - Faulkie - 02-05-2004 Does it really work like that? Not with me it doesn't. Lions artwork - Lionheart - 02-05-2004 i can pull it off, it works fine for me. but then again, ive only drawn 2 girls (well the HUcl counts as 3 i guess). Lions artwork - Faulkie - 03-05-2004 I only draw girls, and have found out that you can't just put boobs in, because you get them wrong. You have to look at the real thing to see where they form etc. Don't think I'm weird, please. I just want to get better at drawing. |
